Within
half a week of "Home Office," I was focused on my stuff and suddenly
got a call from the folks at ASUS: "Would you like to try Tech Review Pro,
our new computer?" Clear! I said immediately, remembering that not too
long ago, we talked about how 2019 had been for a long time, the year of
ASUS, a brand that tried to cover all aspects of the market, from the
most functional computers with their VivoBooks to the most capable gamer
and interesting with the ROG.
But, let's get back to the call. What would it be this time, a new VivoBook, perhaps a powerful, but slim Zenbook or, the cool and always capable ROG? Well, the surprise would be capital because in this case, ASUS wanted to present an ExpertBook. One that? If you have never heard of ASUS ExpertBook you are not alone, because it is the new line that the brand has launched in Colombia and focuses on the professional user but, at a high level and for whom the balance between power and portability should be maintained at all costs.
This is how the ExpertBook B9 came to my house, a very interesting machine. At first glance (then we are going to delve a lot into the experience of use), its weight or, rather, its lack, draws attention. 800 grams ... yes, 800! Honestly, I thought I had a “dummy” in my hands but, everything is there, a very light and at the same time incredibly capable 10th generation Corei7 computer, with 16 Gigs of RAM and a 512 Gigs SSD hard drive.
As you can see in the Unboxing video, something that draws attention to this computer is: how well-thought-out it is for the corporate world, whether or not it is in Home Office. Lightweight, powerful, with a battery that deserves a full note, the ASUS ExpertBook promises a lot, so extensive field testing is necessary.
We will talk about it a lot from now on because more than a “work computer”, it is an interesting mix of variables, it looks and feels like an ASUS, in that the brand is very consistent but it also has a series of characteristics They put on a suit and tie and make it ideal for those people who say that working without fun is not worth it.
