Lenovo Smart Tab review & Specifications: an assisted tablet || Tech Review Pro

Some of the first things I thought about when viewing the Yoga Smart Tab with Google Assistant was Why do I need an assistant on a tablet? Could it be that people are going to use voice commands?

For the same reason, I took on the task of "cluttering" him to know the universe of possibilities that Google Assistant opens that, until now, many have seen exclusively on smartphones and smart speakers.

The Yoga Smart Tab with Google Assistant according to Lenovo, is designed to be the master control of the home entertainment center and, in case you do not have a sound system or good speakers, it has dual Hi-Fi speakers (they sound good but, to be realistic, it is not going to replace a good sound system in large spaces).

The diversity of possibilities or "multi-mode" helps the user to interact with the device in a simpler way, through the rear support, which allows up to 4 positions to be adapted to suit a large number of situations.

To be very honest, even the use case (s) of the Google Assistant on a tablet are very similar to those of a SmartPhone, therefore, in tests, the most logical thing was to take advantage of the larger screen and the power of the speakers, especially in external environments, when training outdoors (keeping the quarantine, of course).

Cooking with Yoga Smart Tab with Google Assistant
Using the Yoga Smart Tab with Google Assistant to cook and find recipes through the Google Assistant is practical, once you learn to make yourself understood because, in some situations, it can be frustrating that the assistant does not always understand the context.

In addition to listening to music on Spotify, YouTube Music, and other popular services, it is possible to activate the “Ambient Mode” to control the Yoga Smart Tab remotely by giving voice commands to Google Assistant even to play.

When you do not have the calculator at hand, it is possible to do a quick mathematical operation using the Yoga Smart Tab, just ask for the result saying "Ok Google" + the operation.

Now, although there are still many use cases to explore Google Assistant on a tablet, this promises to be an interesting tool more for content consumption than for productivity. Thus, we spoke with the Lenovo product expert to clarify several doubts about the Yoga Smart Tab (in case of problems to view the following video about the device).

Conclusion about the Yoga Smart Tab with Google Assistant?

Although the iPad is king in the world of entry tablets, the Yoga Smart Tab has interesting options in terms of content consumption thanks to the form factor (which has an ergonomic grip), the JBL HiFi sound speakers and the integration with Google Assistant that allows you to use it in "Ambient Mode" or "Hands-Free".

Now, it would be ideal for future devices to have the latest version of the operating system, more power at the processing level, and more storage space.
